Stamping Bella - Pippa - Bellarific Friday Sketch 20

Well, I kind of got stood up for card making today by my daughter.  All she talked about on the way to school this morning was how she wanted to do 'art' after school but apparently that changed into practicing her dance by the end of the day.  But I pressed on by myself!

So have I mentioned how much I am loving these Distress Markers!!  I NEED more colors!  Guess I will have to go on the hunt!  I decided to try my hand at the Bellarific Friday sketcheven though it was too late to send it in and here is my result:

I heat embossed the image and watercolored it with the Distress markers.  I used Kraft cardstock for the card and layers.  The paper is reversible from Basic Grey.  Distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink pad.  I actually hand cut the saying since I didn't have a die that would fit it.

I wish we would get some of the cool weather here in Florida but with this 80+ degrees everyday I just can't seem to get into making Fall/Holiday cards yet.  Maybe in another week or two!

Hey There - SSSC169 - The Greeting Farm CC Monday

My daughter, Morgan, wanted to do some crafts yesterday.  She wanted to make a card with me!  After being somewhat successful with my last sketch, I thought I would try another one!  This is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge over on the sweetest thing blog.

I am really starting to like the sketch idea!  I know...I'm years behind with this but at least I'm trying to catch up now!  So the two of sat down to do our cards.  Morgan picked out Creeper Crew Monday from The Greeting Farm because she wanted to do a Halloween card and thought Monday would be perfect!  We decided to emboss the stamp so that when we watercolored it wouldn't run as much.  We used my new Distress markers to watercolor the image.  I really like these markers but I'm still getting use to them.  I used the Spellbinders scallop rectangle to cut her out.  Picking paper was the hard part because I actually colored her before thinking about paper!  So I decided on this cute girly paper from My Mind's Eye.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  Of course, no girl would be complete without a little bit of BLING!

Morgan's card was colored with Distress markers.  She used Halloween paper from DCWV Glitter stack.  She also used some fine glitter on Monday's hair.  She added three green bat brads from Making Memories.  The sentiment is also from Paper Smooches.

I hope you enjoyed our creations!!!  We definitely enjoyed making them!  There's nothing like a Mother/Daughter card making day! Until next time...

Smitten - World Card Making Day - DS72 - Stamping Bella Lucille

Yesterday my husband decided to take my daughter to the movies to see Frankenweenie and I thought "It's World Card Making Day!!!"  Perfect!  So I grabbed the first stamp I saw and went to work.

I decided to try my hand at the Deconstructed Sketch 72 for my card.

On this card I used the Stamping Bella Uptown Girl - Lucille stamp.  I just love Uptown Girls!  I was in a pink mood with it being National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I base colored her with Copics and shaded with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I think she turned it pretty good!  The 'Smitten' stamp  by Paper Smooches and seemed to fit Lucille perfectly!  I used the Spellbinders Labels Eight and Standard Circles to cut out my stamped images.  The paper is Basic Grey (can't remember the line).

Hello there!

Welcome to my blog!  After following so many wonderful and creative blogs, I’ve decided to finally start one of my own!  I started stamping right after my daughter was born and she just turned 9!  I really wish I had more time to do it but with two kids my days are filled!  I am hoping that this blog will help push me to do more and explore my creative side.  Hope you enjoy it.  Thanks!
